Fireproof and waterproof- and it feels like it! This thing is heavy and thick, seems like it would easily withstand the elements (although let's hope it never comes to that).
Even though the drive seems like it could have been fine by itself, the packaging was great. Just the right amount of protection. I also like that amount of individual item packing (cables, power, etc.) was kept to a minimum. Less waste!
Drive was extremely easy to set-up and use; files were transferring onto it within a minute of plugging it into the computer. Instructions were simple and well written, but not needed. The included USB cable is the perfect length, not too short, but not ridiculously long. I like that the transformer is in a separate brick (like a laptop charger) rather than at the plug. This helps to free-up precious electrical real estate. Directions on how to activate data recovery services are very clear and direct.
The unit is a little bit noisier than other hard drives, but certainly not so loud that it becomes annoying in any way.
All around great product, and I look forward to many years of usage!
