Lacie starck desktop hard drive 2tb review
Simply a well-made desktop drive. Although I eventually reformatted the drive (thereby removing the LaCie software), the backup software works the way it was designed and is pretty much seamless and user configurable. I prefer not to use backup software and do things manually, therefore I did not continue using it. The design is quite nice - very robust and elegant. It is really quite a beautiful looking product. Price-wise, yuou can beat this by a few dollars, but for the extra few beans you get the robust metal case with the organic front face, something that I fell is worth the money. Also, when you use the LaCie software, there is a touch point on the front of the chrome "wave" surface that you can configure for simple one-touch backup. Very slick drive and design, highly recommended!
